Calgary police have charged a 60-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of two teenage girls.
In a Wednesday news release, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) said the assaults occurred between 2011 and 2016, beginning when the victims were approximately 12 years old.
“Although the victims and the accused are known to each other, details of their relationship will not be released to protect the identity of the victims,” the release stated.
On Feb. 12, Daryl Patrick Gillespie, 60, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age.
