Flight delays, cancellations at Kelowna International Airport

Despite sunny conditions at Kelowna International Airport, some flights have been delayed at YLW because of poor weather conditions at other airports. Nav Canada

For a second consecutive day, some flights in and out of Kelowna International Airport have either been delayed or cancelled because of the weather.

According to the airport, “several flights in and out of YLW are delayed or cancelled due to weather at other Western Canadian and U.S. airports.”

An airport spokesperson said there 22 cancellations as of noon on Wednesday related to weather at other airports or mechanical issues. Those cancellations, however, were not related to snow events or weather at Kelowna.

The airport is advising travelers to visit YLW’s website for updated flight information, and to allow extra time for travelling to the airport, checking in and going through security.
