An extreme cold warning is back for parts of Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada said an arctic ridge of high pressure remains over the province, bringing below normal temperatures.

Extreme wind chills of -40 or colder will continue through most southern regions Tuesday morning.

The extreme wind chills will generally ease during the morning, but are likely to redevelop overnight in the northern grainbelt and southern parkland areas.

Emergency supplies, such as extra blankets and jumper cables should be kept in vehicles.
