The Hamilton Conservation Authority says water levels and flows in the area watercourses are expected to continue to increase as a result of the continuing melt of the snow.

The HCA is reminding residents to exercise caution and keep children and pets away from water bodies.

The flood watch message is in effect until Wednesday, when it will either be updated or cancelled.
