Four people have been taken to hospital following a collision on Highway 28 in Douro-Dummer Township on Friday morning.
Peterborough County OPP say around 8 a.m. a southbound vehicle struck a westbound vehicle at the intersection of Highway 28 and Division Road.
Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
“Four people have been taken to an area hospital with varying degrees of injuries,” OPP stated. “One person has serious life-threatening injuries.”
Highway 28 remains closed between Old Norwood Road and County Road 8 while OPP are investigating the cause of the collision.
It’s expected the section of highway will remain closed for several hours.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. OPP advise to use detours in the area.
