A dump truck working on a road resurfacing project became tangled in overhead utility lines on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a road closure near Kelowna.
The truck was working on Old Vernon Road at Black Road when the box elevated into the Telus cables above the road at around 4:30 p.m., according to FortisBC spokesperson Nicole Bogdanovic.

Old Vernon Road was closed to traffic while FortisBC crews worked to fix the poles affected by the mishap.
A utility pole attached to the affected lines was shifted.
FotisBC crews up-righted the pole and no power was affected.
