Royal Canadian Air Force jets to do flyby at Friday’s Blue Bomber game

People packed into Investors Group Field Friday will get a special flyby.

The game will see two Royal Canadian Air Force CT-155 Hawk training jets fly over Investors Group Field at about 7:30 p.m., just before kickoff.

The two jets will fly at least 500 feet above the highest point of the stadium, said the RCAF. The aircrafts flying over are used for training RCAF fighter pilots, before graduating to fly the CF-18 Hornet.

Flybys on Canadian Armed Forces aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure safety, the RCAF added.
