A 25-year-old man is facing charges for arson with disregard for human life after fireworks were discharged towards the ‘Justice for Our Stolen Children’ protest camp in Wascana Park over the weekend.
Brent Holland, of Yorkton, is also charged with, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats.

Police were called to 2400 Legislative Drive on Sunday at around 2 a.m., after a report that a roman candle was discharged toward the camp.
It was reported that a male exited one of the vehicles parked at the Legislative Building parking lot, discharged the roman candle, which shot multiple flammable projectiles toward the protest camp and then fled in a vehicle.

Holland was arrested and charged following police investigations.
He was released on a justice of the peace undertaking and makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Sep. 17, at 9:30 a.m.
No one was injured during the incident.
