Man taken to hospital after truck hits pedestrian in downtown Winnipeg

One man is in stable condition after a pedestrian was hit by a truck in downtown Winnipeg.

Carlton Street between York Avenue and Assiniboine Avenue and westbound Broadway Avenue between Edmonton Street and Hargrave Street were both shut down shortly after 6 a.m, but re-opened at around 7:30 a.m.

The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.

No word on whether the person taken to hospital was the driver or pedestrian.
