The driver of a speeding truck in Prince Albert, Sask., is facing impaired driving charges.
Officers spotted the truck travelling at a high rate of speed at roughly 2:30 a.m. CT Tuesday on 15 Street West.
Prince Albert police said they did not pursue it due to public safety concerns.
The truck was located a short time later in a driveway in the 1200 block of 15 Street West.
Police said the man admitted he had been drinking and was taken into custody, but refused a breathalyzer test.
The 24-year-old Prince Albert man is charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, failing or refusing to comply with demands to provide a breath sample, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.
He is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Prince Albert provincial court.
