The annual celebration runs July 27-29 in Teulon, Man., about 60 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

This year, the festival’s board of directors completed safer spaces training with Red Tent, which provides education and creates awareness about sexual consent, safer spaces, respect and anti-oppression.

Organizers say a new safety tent will  be on site for people to seek resources during the festival, or to spend time away from the noise.

Real Love is catered to the awkward, odd and chill, providing a safer space for those who need it. People of all genders, abilities, ages, cultures and sexualities are encouraged to attend, with assurance that any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.
