The province’s Special Investigations Unit says four people are in hospital in serious condition following a crash in Bradford, Ont.
The police watchdog agency says South Simcoe police were investigating a vehicle in Cookstown, Ont., on Tuesday evening and followed it once it left a parking lot.

The SIU says the vehicle then collided with a pickup truck on Highway 88 just east of Highway 400.
The 32-year-old driver of the vehicle being followed and his 31-year-old and 38-year-old male passengers, and the 54-year-old man driving the pickup truck were taken to hospital.

Spokeswoman Minica Hudon says preliminary information indicated five people were injured, but investigators later learned four people were involved.
The agency, which investigates incidents involving police where there is death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault, is urging anyone who may have seen what happened to contact the SIU.
