Peterborough police are investigating a suspected armed robbery of a convenience store early Tuesday morning.
Police say around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, a man entered a George Street North convenience store and brandished a knife and demanded the employee open the cash register till.

“The employee did not comply with the demand and the suspect left the store, last seen running north through the parking lot,” police said.
Police were contacted and officers were dispatched to the area but did not locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, in his 20s, muscular build, dirty blond short hair, and wearing an orange t-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
