Prince Albert police treating body found in yard as homicide

Police are investigating the death of a man found in a yard in Prince Albert as a homicide.

Officers and paramedics were called to a location near the intersection of 6th Avenue and 20th Street East at 9:07 p.m., on July 13.

Jordan Ballantyne, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince Albert police said an autopsy conducted on July 16 confirmed Ballantyne’s death to be homicide.

The criminal investigation division continues to canvass the area for witnesses and video surveillance.

Anyone who may have witnessed an altercation or persons in the area between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on July 13 is asked to contact Prince Albert police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
