Hamilton police have closed the west bound lanes of the Linc for an investigation.

File / Global News

A major stretch of Hamilton’s Lincoln Alexander Parkway has been closed for most of the day for a death investigation, but has since reopened.

Early Friday, Hamilton police closed all westbound lanes of the highway from Upper Wentworth to Dartnall, as well as the Upper Gage overpass, as they investigate a fatality in that area.

The Linc was reopened around 315 p.m., but few other details have been released.
