Winnipeg man dead after early morning shooting on Flora Avenue near McKenzie Street

A man is dead after an early morning shooting in the North End.

Police were called around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday and were told a man had been shot in the area of Flora Avenue and McKenzie Street.

When officers got there, they found an injured man. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but died a short time later.

The victim is Kenneth Wood, a 35-year-old man from Winnipeg.

The homicide unit said anyone who had contact with the victim or anyone who can provide information on his whereabouts prior to his death should contact the homicide unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
