Laval police search for suspect in violent attack

Laval police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect in connection with an assault earlier this week. Police say the victim, who was punched from behind, remains in critical condition.

Laval police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with an assault that took place early Monday evening.

Police say the suspect sprinted and punched a 46-year-old man from behind around 6:30 p.m. on Curé-Labelle Boulevard. The suspect then left the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police say the suspect is a white man, between the ages of 25 and 30. He is about six-feet tall and weighs 232 pounds.

He has reddish brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with an MFC logo, pants and black and white sneakers.
