Laval police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with an assault that took place early Monday evening.
Police say the suspect sprinted and punched a 46-year-old man from behind around 6:30 p.m. on Curé-Labelle Boulevard. The suspect then left the scene on foot.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police say the suspect is a white man, between the ages of 25 and 30. He is about six-feet tall and weighs 232 pounds.

He has reddish brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with an MFC logo, pants and black and white sneakers.
