ATV driver killed, horse euthanized after crash on a Saskatchewan First Nation

A man was killed and a horse was euthanized after a crash on a Saskatchewan First Nation.

Punnichy RCMP said a westbound ATV hit a horse late Monday evening on the Kawacatoose First Nation.

The 37-year driver of the ATV was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Police said they had to euthanize the horse due to the injuries it suffered in the collision.

RCMP continue to investigate, along with the coroner’s office.

Kawacatoose First Nation is roughly 185 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
