Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is reportedly engaged to U.S. model Hailey Baldwin.
Bieber popped the question to Baldwin at a resort in The Bahamas, TMZ reported.
CNN confirmed Bieber’s engagement to Baldwin, the 21-year-old daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and niece of Alec, citing a source close to the Stratford, Ont. native.

The pair have a relationship that goes back to 2009, when Baldwin first met Bieber backstage at the Today Show.
In May, in an interview with The Sunday Times Style, Baldwin said, “Justin and I were friends for a long time.”
“I met him when I was really young and he was one of my best friends. Everybody knows that at a certain point in time that turned into something else, but that just happens when you’re 18, 19,” she revealed.
Baldwin continued: “We went through a long period of time when we weren’t friends. We didn’t speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on. We’ve moved past that.”

She’s a member of the Baldwin family
The model’s father is Stephen Baldwin, known for his role in The Usual Suspects, and her mother is Brazilian graphic designer Kennya Baldwin. Her uncles are actors Daniel Baldwin, William Baldwin and Alec Baldwin. Her cousin Ireland, daughter of Alec Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Basinger, is also a model and actress. She has an older sister, Alaia Baldwin, 24,
She was homeschooled
The 22-year-old model grew up in Tuscon, Arizona and was homeschooled by her parents after the eighth grade.
She became homeschooled in order to have a more private life and to get away from the constant attention she would receive for having many famous family members.
“The thing that was annoying about having an uncle that’s on 30 Rock is that kids don’t understand it,” Baldwin said. “They’re like, ‘What?’ Then they’re like, ‘You have to go away to LA with your dad, what?’ And they didn’t get that. And that’s what I’ve struggled with my whole life, in school, too.”
She began modeling in 2014
Baldwin signed to New York agency Ford Models as a teenager, making her commercial debut in late 2014 in a campaign for French Connection.
Her first runway appearance was later that year when she walked for TopShop Unique at London Fashion Week , and also appeared in many fashion editorials for LOVE, i-D and many others.
She has been in many high-profile campaigns, including ones for Tommy Hilfiger, Guess and Ralph Lauren. She’s appeared on a number of magazine covers such as Vogue, The Sunday Times Style, Elle and many others.
She has walked the runway for Elie Saab, Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana, Tory Burch, and Jeremy Scott.
She is now signed to IMG Models, which is the same agency as her close friend Bella Hadid.

She co-hosts Drop The Mic with Method Man
Baldwin co-hosts TBS’ celebrity rap show Drop the Mic, which is produced by James Corden, alongside rapper Method Man.
She also co-hosted the iHeart Radio Music Awards in March alongside DJ Khaled.
She most recently made a cameo in Ocean’s 8 as one of the celebrirties attending the Met Gala.
She is very vocal about her Christian beliefs
Baldwin shares many verses from the bible on social media.
“I was raised in church. I was brought up in that life, and I think that it’s very important for everybody to be in touch with their spirituality and to have a relationship with God,” she told Teen Vogue in 2016.
She previously told The Sunday Times Style that her religious beliefs have hugely influenced her morals, revealing that she would never post nude.
“People look at religion as a scary thing if they don’t know what it’s about. But at the end of the day, church is just a building; my personal beliefs are what matters,” she told the magazine.
“I’m definitely not the poster child for Christianity, there are a lot of things the Bible says you’re not supposed to do. I mean, you’re not supposed to drink, you’re not supposed to have sex before marriage…
“But I could be doing so many worse things with the access I’m given.”

After the news of the reported engagement spread, Baldwin liked a photo from a fan page that congratulated the two on their engagement.
Her father, Stephen Baldwin, tweeted a Bible verse and wrote #blessed.
Stephen had reportedly sent out a different tweet but took it down, presumably because the newly-engaged couple wanted to confirm the news themselves.
