Calgary police are searching for a man after someone tried to set a gasoline station on fire early Monday morning.
Around 3:20 a.m. police said a man purchased an undisclosed amount of fuel at a gasoline station on the 300 block of 16 Avenue N.E.
The suspect pumped the fuel into a jerrycan and then poured the fuel around one of the fuel pumps and lit it on fire, police said.
Police said the man fled the scene once the blaze started. Calgary police arrived and put out the fire with a nearby fire extinguisher.
The suspect is still at large and Calgary fire is investigating the blaze, police said.
Police don’t have a description of the suspect at this time other than he is a man.
