Barrie police seek public help identifying suspect accused of stealing bicycle

Barrie police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of stealing a bicycle.

According to police, a man stopped by a friend’s residence on Prince William Way in Barrie on June 17 at around 4 p.m., leaving his bicycle outside the front steps of the house.

Police say that a few hours later, when the victim went to leave the house, he found his bicycle was gone.

According to police, the residence was equipped with surveillance cameras and an image of the suspect was captured. Police say the surveillance footage shows the suspect allegedly stealing the bicycle at around 5 p.m.

Officers say the bicycle in question is a grey Raleigh adult female mountain bike.

Police have described the suspect as a man in his late 20s, with a medium build. Police say he has short black hair and a chinstrap beard. He was seen wearing a black Adidas shirt with white stripes on the sleeves, khaki pants, brown shoes and was carrying a grey backpack.
