New Brunswick RCMP are bringing in a helicopter to assist in their search for a missing canoeist from Musquash, N.B.

Police say they were called shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday about an overturned canoe on Stillwater Lake.

They are now actively searching the missing canoeist, 18-year-old Devon Breau.

Breau is described as being five feet nine inches tall and weighing approximately 149 pounds.

He has shoulder length, dirty blonde hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt with a picture of a lobster on the front, along with khaki pants and green rubber boots.

Breau’s ATV and trailer were located on the shore of Stillwater Lake.

Search and rescue crews from Charlotte County, River Valley and Fredericton are assisting in the search. Members of the Musquash fire department and the province’s energy and resource development department are also on scene.

The Mounties are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Breau to contact RCMP at 506-757-1020.
