Edmonton police are searching for a suspect who allegedly pulled out a gun to threaten and rob another man trying to sell jewelry he posted on a Facebook buy-and-sell group.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has issued nine province-wide warrants for the arrest of 31-year-old Shane Michael Loyer, including robbery with a firearm, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public and uttering threats.
Police responded to a call about a personal robbery on Wednesday at about 2 p.m. near 91 Avenue and 182 Street.

A 33-year-old man reportedly met another man there to sell an item of jewelry he posted about online. But during the meeting, the suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm, threatened him, stole the jewelry and ran away.
Investigators have identified the suspect as Loyer, who is described as 5’6″ with a medium build and short, dark hair and a face that was unshaven. He was last seen wearing shorts, a long-sleeved, collared shirt and a dark-coloured baseball hat.
Loyer is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
