Cause of Okanagan Lake Kokanee die off still a mystery.

Since May 25 over 1000 dead or dying Kokanee have washed up on the shores of Okanagan Lake.

“As this point we can’t speculate on the cause,” Senior Okanagan Fisheries Biologist, Tara White said.

Samples from the dead fish have been taken and sent off to the provincial health lab.

Those results are expected back with in the next week.
