The Salvation Army is asking people to donate whatever they can — Jackets, mittens, hats — to ensure the less fortunate can stay warm in frigid temperatures.

“We can always use those donations, so long as they are new and in good condition,” said Shannon Wise, Salvation Army spokesperson.

“In addition, our location at 281 Wellington St. still has beds available to those in need,” she said.

A special “Paint Nite” will also be held Tuesday evening at the Boston Pizza on Wonderland Rd. in partnership with Global News Radio 980 CFPL’s sister station Fresh Radio.

Tickets are still available for the 7 p.m. event through the Paint Nite website, and $15 from every ticket goes to the Sally Ann’s food bank.
