Local evacuations lifted following bomb scare in North Vancouver

A Monday morning bomb threat led to the evacuation of Bodwell High School and some nearby businesses. RCMP are searching the school on Harbourside Drive and evacuees were bussed to a local community centre. The school currently closed for spring break – Apr 16, 2018

Residents in North Vancouver have now been allowed home following a bomb scare Monday.

At around 8:30 a.m., North Vancouver RCMP were called to the 900-block of Harbourside Drive responding to a bomb threat to Bodwell High School.

Police confirm that no bomb was located and the evacuation and roadblocks have all been lifted.

Students from the high school are currently on spring break so no classes were in session but school residents and local businesses nearby were evacuated.

Those evacuated were placed inside buses and taken to Mickey McDougall Community Centre for refreshments.

An investigation will continue on the threatening call.
