Police raid in River Heights nets meth, fentanyl

Three Winnipeggers are facing several drug charges after police raided a River Heights home earlier this week.

Officers from the Street Crime Unit and the Tactical Support Team searched the home Monday evening.

Inside they found 2,057 blotters believed to contain fentanyl/carfentanil, methamphetamine, packing material, a scale and cell phones.

Combined the drugs are estimated to be worth $48,340 on the street.

A 26-year-old man and two women, aged 24 and 29, were arrested and released on promise to appears.

The man is facing three charges:

  • Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Import a scheduled substance

Investigators are warning Winnipeggers if they find blotting or other suspicious paper that might contain a drug to call police.
