Manitoba man charged with sexually assaulting children, more victims possible

A Manitoba man has been charged with three counts of sexual assault on girls as young as 7-years-old.

Ivan Valintine Cesnik, 57, was arrested in Calgary last week.

On Jan.22 Oakbank RCMP got a call about an historic sex assault on four victims.  Three were 8-years-old at the time of the alleged assaults, another 7-years-old.

RCMP said Friday Cesnik is accused of sexually assaulting the girls over a period between 2010 and 2015.  Police allege they happened at his home in Garson, Man., and at another house in the RM of Springfield.

Police said Cesnick eventually moved to Calgary and no longer had contact with the victims.

Calgary RCMP arrested Cesnik on Feb. 27.

 

RCMP said there could be more victims in Manitoba, Alberta and Kelowna, B.C. and are asking anyone with information to call police.
