Pro-choice advocate attacked with red paint in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police say they are treating an assault on a pro-choice advocate in Kitchener as a hate crime.

Investigators said the woman was attacked by a man who threw red paint at her in the area of Charles and Borden avenues at around 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

The man then yelled “murderer” at her before walking away.

The woman received minor injuries from the incident and so far, no arrests have been made.

Waterloo Regional Police’s Intelligence Branch is looking into the matter.
