Tory leadership candidate Caroline Mulroney brings campaign to London

Another high-profile candidate in the race to be the next leader of the Progressive Conservatives will make a stop in London.

Caroline Mulroney is scheduled to speak at an event at the Lamplighter Inn on Wellington Road from 6:30 to 8:30 Tuesday evening.

Local PC party officials say Mulroney will explain her vision for the party.

Patrick Brown announced Monday that he is withdrawing from the leadership race, less than two weeks after entering the contest to reclaim his former job.

Brown said part of his decision to withdraw was due to what he said was a collaboration between his “political adversaries” and “the media.”

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the other three candidates in the leadership race will face off in a live debate on 980 CFPL.

Christine Elliott, Doug Ford and Tanya Granic Allen will square off on the Andrew Lawton Show from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., Thursday.

Mulroney declined the invitation, saying that she had previous commitments.
