You’ve waited all month and finally you can say with confidence — “It’s not cold!”
This week will bring some welcome warmth to southern Manitoba, as well as the rest of the province for that matter.
We don’t have to deal with arctic air continuing to flood our region. Instead, southern Manitoba will be sitting under a ridge of high pressure keeping the skies fairly clear and encouraging warmer winds from the south.
Temperatures will stay above seasonal all week long and into the weekend, however, the weekend is when we may see a change in our weather pattern. Not that temperatures are going to be cooling off, but Saturday and Sunday could be somewhat snowy for the southern part of the province.
It looks like a strong system will be developing south of the border and moving into the region Saturday, bringing with it some potentially significant snowfall. This will be something we’ll be watching as we get later in the week.
