Manitoba’s The Pas Huskies have won the 2018 Good Deeds Cup.
The Pas Huskies will take home a total of $15,000 for the charity of their choice, a feature on broadcast television and a summer skate with the Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner and women’s hockey Olympic gold medalist Caroline Ouellette.
The Huskies participated in the online challenge in the hopes of raising funds for their community’s only homeless shelter. Oscar’s place will receive the awarded funds for winning the competition.
Entries were submitted through video and 10 semi-finalists were announced in mid-January.
Both the Quinte Red Devils and Smith Falls Bears from Ontario earn $5,000 for the charity of their choice after finishing in the final three.
The Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup recognizes a Peewee hockey team for doing good in their community.
