In an e-mail to Global News, BC Transit said safety is a top priority and it works hard to improve safety on buses for customers and drivers.

“We take reports about inappropriate and illegal behavior, including sexual assault and harassment, very seriously and work closely with police to follow the legal process for complaints. If someone on a bus is the victim of an inappropriate or illegal activity, or sees something that is inappropriate, please tell the driver immediately.”
