Halton police charge man with attempted murder in attack on his mother

Halton police say a 51-year-old woman is recovering in hospital from stab wounds.

Officers responded to Bunkerhill place in Burlington on Feb. 16, after receiving reports that a man with a knife was chasing a woman.

Police say they found the woman lying on the ground across the street from her home with multiple stab wounds.

The victim underwent emergency surgery and is expected to recover.

The woman’s 20-year-old son is charged with attempted murder.
