Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a voyageur?

Holiday Monday, festival-goers were given a chance to dress up and see themselves as fur traders and prairie pioneers.

Louis Riel Day at Festival du Voyageur was presented by Global News. Our Green Screen technology opens a window to yesteryear and lets you put yourself in the picture.

The Global News team had a great time helping get everyone get suited up and smiling as they posed with props in front of a choice of four backdrops: from a tipi village to a log cabin, iconic snow sculpture or front and centre at Fort Gibraltar.

Some families have even made it a new tradition, returning each year to capture visual memories of their Festival experience.

If you missed Monday, you will have another chance on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Souvenir Tent.  See you there!
