After a late three-pointer lifted the Lightning over the K-W Titans in London on Sunday, the Monday rematch was a whole lot more decisive.
The Lightning knocked off the Titans 118-101 in Kitchener in the second half of their home-and-home series.
It was London’s fifth victory in a row and it keeps them a game-and-a-half ahead of the St. John’s Edge in the Central Division standings.
After not being pleased with their defensive effort against K-W in a 136-133 win on Sunday at Budweiser Gardens, the Lightning limited the Titans to 42.4 per cent shooting on Monday. K-W shot over 50 per cent from the field on Sunday.
London was solid on the boards, snagging 59 rebounds to the Titans’ 55.
Royce White led the way for the Lightning with 22 points. He missed just one field goal attempt and also added eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. White accomplished all of that despite playing just 23 minutes.
Sunday’s hero, Kirk Williams Jr. had 17 points. So did Garrett Williamson. Ryan Anderson and Mo Bolden each dropped in 14.
The Lightning will travel to Windsor on Wednesday to meet the Express at the WFCU Centre.
London does not play another home game until March 15.
