RCMP and the coroner’s office are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in the North Okanagan.
Police say a 41 year old man was hit by a mini van after running out onto the Trans Canada Highway near Salmon Arm just after 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The man was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Speed and alcohol consumption are not considered factors for the driver of the vehicle. However, RCMP say the victim may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident.
