RCMP say one person has died following a three vehicle collision in Vernon.
The accident happened on Highway 97 at Meadowlark Road shortly after 4 p.m. Friday.
Accident investigators remained at the scene until 11 p.m., when the highway reopened.

The extent of other victim injuries has not been released.
How the crash happened remains under investigation, Cst. Kelly Brett said in a press release.
A detour is in place northbound: take Stickle Rd. to Pleasant Valley Rd., and southbound, take Elmwood Rd. to Pleasant Valley Rd.
Traffic was backed up for kilometres following the accident.
