Online updating for Sask. health card holders

REGINA – Anyone needing to make changes to their health card information can now do it anytime. 

The province announced today Saskatchewan residents with a valid health card can now update most information through an online portal. 

That includes changes to family status, an address change, corrections to information or to report a lost or stolen card.

Once the information is entered, an electronic notification is send to the card holder. 

Updates are then processed within two business days. 

“We continue to look for ways to improve the timeliness, efficiency and quality of our services,” said Health Minister Dustin Duncan. 

“This 24/7 online service provides and easy and streamlined process for our residents to more efficiently update their health card.”

The government introduced online applications for health cards in December 2011, with approximately 17,000 applications made since then.
