1 person rushed to hospital after shooting in Cloverdale

A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries early Thursday morning after a shooting in Cloverdale.

Surrey RCMP received a call of shots fired at 3:30 a.m. in the 17400-block of 64 Avenue. When they arrived they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

At least one bullet hole and some blood could be seen on the driver’s side door.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene before police arrived and there are no suspect descriptions at this time.

Officers are conducting a neighbourhood canvas and speaking with witnesses. The investigation is still in its early stages but police say initial indications are that this is likely a targeted incident. It is too early to determine if this incident is related to drugs or other shootings.
