Saskatoon-based Angel Entertainment purchased Media Group in 2010 and rebranded it as Bamboo Shoots.

“Bob was well respected by the film industry in both Saskatchewan, and across Canada. He has served on multiple boards including the Canadian Media Producers Association,” Start said on Facebook.

“His creative vision and passion, mixed with his financial acumen will leave a large hole to be filled at Angel Entertainment and Bamboo Shoots, but I believe we have the team who can carry on his legacy.”

A celebration of life for Crowe is expected sometime after Christmas.
