Cocaine, sawed-off rifle seized in Prince Albert, Sask. hotel room

Four men from Edmonton are facing charges after police seized cocaine and a sawed-off rifle in a Prince Albert, Sask., hotel room.

Prince Albert police were called to the hotel in the 3600-block of 2nd Avenue West early Friday morning for a report that drugs were being sold out of a hotel room.

Officers arrested four men when they arrived and proceeded to search the room.

They seized 29.8 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and a sawed-off .22-calibre rifle.

Four men, 18, 19, 23 and 28, are facing numerous firearms-related charges along with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

The 19-year-old man is also facing a breach of a court order charge.

They are scheduled to appear Monday in Prince Albert provincial court.
