Winnipeg search warrant leads to seizure of $21,500 of meth

A search warrant executed by Winnipeg police on Saturday morning led to yet another large-quantity seizure of methamphetamine.

Police said they carried out the warrant at a residence in the 500 block of St. Johns Avenue.

In the home they located $21,500 worth of meth and more than $5,300 in cash.

Three people were located inside the home and taken into custody.

Jacques Joseph Girardin, 41, of Winnipeg, Cameron Douglas Boychuk, 36, of West St. Paul and a 30-year-old West St. Paul woman are all facing multiple charges, including possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

Girardin and Boychuk were detained in custody. The woman was released on a promise to appear.
