The photos cost $10 each and the money went towards helping the furry friends that turn to Animal Services for help.

Leland Gordon is the Chief Operating Officer of the City of Winnipeg Animal Services. He said anyone who didn’t have a pet to take a photo with was offered a pet to borrow for the photo.

“The money goes to help our adoption program. We have a very aggressive adoption program here,”Gordon said.

He said all the dogs that come in to Animal Services are unfortunately stray dogs off the streets and they aren’t wearing licenses.
