On Wednesday, customers were out buying items as they gear up for the holidays.

“I brought down all of my Halloween decorations and I was like, might as well bring up my Christmas stuff now,” said Magali Janvier, a customer.

“The kids saw and they were like ‘let’s decorate the house.'”

Some, like Montreal resident Frank Bozel, have moved on from buying real trees, but says he still finds ways to get into the Christmas spirit.

“I always leave my Christmas lights on as long as I can, until I’m told I’m not allowed to do that anymore,” Bozel told Global News.

Marois estimates he’ll sell thousands of trees this season, but it doesn’t come without a lot of hard work.

“The days start at 6 a.n. in the morning and finish at maybe 9, 10 p.m. at night,” Marois said.

He expects to be selling trees all the way until Dec. 24.
