“[Judaism] is something I’ve always felt connected to, I’m not entirely sure why. I know it’s an essential part of who I am and a lot of what drives me as an actor and as an artist is to know my own heritage and to know my family,” Schreiber said.

He commended Federation CJA for encouraging Jews and non-Jews alike to engage in conversations and community events. It’s something he brings into the lives of his children.

“I tell my kids who they are, I tell them who their parents are, who their grandparents and great-grandparents are. You try to let them know what it means to be a family,” he added.
