Woman dies in apartment fire in Alberta’s Crowsnest Pass

A 55-year-old woman died after a fire broke out in an apartment in Blairmore, Alta. in the Crowsnest Pass Monday morning.

RCMP were called to an apartment on 20 Avenue at about 3 a.m.

A woman who lived in the apartment was pulled from the building but was declared dead at the scene.

One other resident got out of the building and was not injured.

RCMP are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.

Blairmore is about 145 kilometres west of Lethbridge.
