Royal Military College has confirmed that a man found dead in Kingston yesterday was a first-year cadet.

Kingston police positioned an emergency response unit in a narrow road across from the Ambassador Hotel Thursday afternoon following the discovery of the body of Jeffrey Remmelgas.

The 19 year-old was reported missing October 13th and was last seen two days before he was declared missing.

Police say the body was found at about 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in an area between Princess Street and the Via Rail station.

The area was treated as a possible crime scene until it was cleared Friday afternoon.

Police say no foul play is suspected.

Police say the case is now in the hands of the Eastern Ontario Corners Office.
