Calgary police look for elderly woman’s stolen wheelchair

Calgary police are asking for the public’s help to find a wheelchair stolen from a 84-year-old woman.

Police said sometime between Oct. 11 and Oct. 18 a garage was broken into in the 1500 block of Mardale Way N.E.

A black Invacare TDX-SP electric wheelchair, worth more than $10,000, was stolen.

Investigators are asking anyone who deals with, or is purchasing a second-hand wheelchair to be on the lookout.

The wheelchair’s serial number is #09GE000007.

On Monday, no suspect description was available.
