2 Hamilton men charged with human trafficking: Niagara police

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – Police in Niagara region say two men from Hamilton, Ont., have been charged with human trafficking.

Niagara police say they were told on Saturday that two young females were involved in the sex trade and were being housed at a hotel in Niagara Falls, Ont.

They say officers attended the scene and began an investigation.

Police say two men, aged 23 and 24, were charged with trafficking in persons under 18 years and receiving a material benefit.

The men appeared in a St. Catharines court for a bail hearing on Sunday.
